GBD rebuilt our kitchen and sun room being approximately 20% of the house which was originally built in 1882 with various subsequent additions through to 2005. The renovations included concrete slabs, hardwood timber floor, tiled sun room floor, exterior walls, ceilings, roof timbers plus relocation of the electrical switch board and other services. Constructional integrity as well as an aesthetic finish in keeping with the house's country style were imperatives. GBD was always consultative and their flexible and responsive approach yielded excellent outcomes to this challenging project. The workmanship of their carpenters and selected contractors was also first class. I have not made one request for rectification work since completion. The project was completed within our time frame and price expectation. Prime cost item estimates were accurate and GBD went to great lengths to ensure only high quality components were supplied.

It is Paul and my absolute pleasure to provide a testimonial for you with regards to your competency as a builder.
Over the last several years as evidenced above we have engaged your services for various building projects at three properties and throughout these jobs the level of professionalism shown by you and your staff has been outstanding.
Of particular note was the renovation of 98 Cammeray Road, Cammeray a former duplex which we converted into a house. This involved significant removal of walls upstairs and downstairs liaising with engineers and architects, a massive excavation of sandstone which was then beautifully worked into all the supporting walls of a two level garden the overseeing of a pool on a previous rock shelf, the building of a separate garage with a studio apartment on the second level.
Due to the unfortunate timing of the global financial crisis we asked you to work around us living on site which involved moving from upstairs to downstairs apartments whilst
co-ordinating the job, all this was done with consideration for our needs and a great level of co-operation – this was well over a year in the building enough to test anyone’s patience but I can safely say we all survived.
To complete a job on these terms was terribly challenging for all involved and Geoff’s handling of our expectations and understanding of our needs financial and otherwise was outstanding. Geoff’s communication about the timing of sections of the job was very realistic as was his pricing which was in line with his original forecasts. Geoff and I worked closely on all aspects of the job and it was evident that he always put a lot of time and thought into any suggestions I made, I felt he always had our best interests at heart.
All staff on site was of the highest calibre as men and as tradesmen and Geoff and Michelle’s help to me was invaluable in terms of clear communication and sound advice at all times.
Paul and I would like to also thank you so much for building “our dream home” at 98 Cammeray Road. In small follow up’s that has been required since completion queries have been attended to quickly and efficiently.
Geoff it has been an absolute pleasure dealing with you and your team. GBD Construction is the only name we would recommend and your name has certainly been passed to all our friends and colleagues who are looking for a competent builder.

GBD Constructions completed two townhouses designed by a local architect in December 2000. Geoff Docker was easy and professional to deal with.
Build quality, reliability and attention to detail was excellent. His experience proved invaluable in providing both pre construction and on site solutions to the many and varied aspects of the building process.

Both jobs were complete house renovations which involved at total rejuvenation of old houses to modern day standards.
Both houses were completed to a meticulous standard. Geoff worked very well with our architect and the subcontractors that he recommended were of high standard. Geoff has created 1 interior renovation and 2 exterior extensions for us. All 3 were planned and discussed together with Geoff, with very creative ideas, adapted to what we were imaging. The 1st was opening up a 2 door wall into 3 bi-fold doors out to a veranda with an extension to the existing veranda the 2nd was a pergola next to the swimming pool. The 3rd was a laundry renovation. All 3 experiences were a pleasant and fun adventure.
Geoff is very creative and knows how to adapt ideas that are suited to the addition and client. He is very willing to genuinely please the client and offer the best possible solution for requests that are mentioned.
